Out of the blue came Buddha

 

 

All the plankton and music notation,

All the bees and angels in amber,

Sapphires, flamingoes, river gods,

The white dove and barracuda:

 

In the ongoing act of creation,

From the ash of the undying ember,

As peas swell open their pods—

 

 Out of the blue came Buddha.
